We just found out that the possibility of an extended stay overseas may actually happen. This has been a consideration in the past, almost 6 years ago, and we really thought the opportunity had passed. Well, apparently not. We just found out Christine's employer could use her skills on a short term basis in Ho Chi Minh City.
We are excited and thrilled at the opportunity. We told the kids last night and had a good conversation of what may happen. They were excited and I'm sure apprehensive, but I hope they will embrace the move and see it for the adventure it will be.
Christine and I are now in the list making mode. Besides the upcoming holiday events we will be prepping to leave in near future. I will need to make arrangements for work load of my small embroidery shop. I will need to organize ed. materials w/ the boys' teachers so that I may continue their schooling. I am excited at the opportunity to teach more regularly and also to use technology to stay connected with our Springwater community. I believe this is a great chance for distance learning, podcasting, iMovie between us and our school back home.
I've never been a blogger, so this will be a work in progress. I hope it will be a location to share our experiences w/ friends and family and also an outlet for my kids to keep in touch with their friends.
